I’m planning to order the WiFi LoRa 32 V4 Expansion Housing kit and have a question about the external SMA
antenna routing before I buy.
Which of the V4 board’s three U.FL/IPEX connectors does the housing’s external SMA cable connect to?
- E3 — LoRa (front SMA)
- E2 — GNSS
- Wi-Fi IPEX (back of board, near center)
My application uses Wi-Fi only (LoRa disabled), so I need to confirm the external antenna feeds the Wi-Fi
radio.
Two related questions:
- If the cable routes to the Wi-Fi IPEX, does the kit ship with the 0Ω antenna-switching resistor already
moved from Mark 2 (FPC) to Mark 1 (IPEX) as shown in the V4.3 antenna-switching diagram? Or is that mod still
required by the customer? - If it routes to the LoRa SMA instead, is there an option to order a kit pre-configured for external Wi-Fi
antenna?
