Vision master T-190

I just got one of these in the mail and I’m trying to flash it.
This Heltec page https://heltec.org/project/vision-master-t190/ says

connect the USB cable, hold down the User (or ORG or Boot) key, press RST once, and then release the User (or ORG or Boot) key.

I can’t find a boot key on it anywhere, the reset button is on the side of the board but I can’t see any other buttons or “keys” as it says on the webpage. Am I missing something? Is it concealed under the display or does it require some type of JTAG programmer etc?

Thanks @Ashley, I didn’t realize those acrylic parts on the front were buttons. I thought they were just part of the housing for the display.

So I got it flashed but I think it’s a faulty unit.

As it turns out I didn’t need to put it into boot mode to flash it. It just doesn’t connect through USB intermittently and randomly disconnects, so I couldn’t get reliable connection to it. Sometimes dmesg shows it there for a while & then it shows an error after the orange LED starts flashing.
It also had a few boot failures when I tried to boot it with the script that was installed when I got it.

I was lucky enough to get it to connect one time and flashed it and ran some code on it and the orange LED started flashing and the web server I was running on it disconnected. Sometimes it works for a few seconds but it mostly doesn’t. I know it’s a reliable script because I tested on 3 other ESP32-S3’s for over a week without a single disconnect.

Which firmware did you choose to download for T190? If you chose the Nerd Miner firmware, you can try updating it using this link.
