V4 Expansion Kit Transmit Problems

I just received a V4 Expansion Kit. I flashed it with the touch screen version of 2.7.20.1116217

When I send a message, it is not received by another node sitting a few feet away. When I transmit from the other node, no messages are received. Both are correctly set to the same region and to medium-fast.

Is there something I can check to see why it’s not transmitting or receiving? Should I be using a different version of the firmware (I’m wishing I had left it with the firmware it had). If there is a better firmware to use, could you provide a link to where I can download it?

I figured this out. When I set up the device, I chose medium fast (since that’s what our local meshtastic community uses) and the device defaulted to slot 20. That shows the correct frequency on the screen, but sent messages never showed up on my other devices nearby. When I changed the slot to 0 (which means use the presets) then it shows the wrong frequency, but sent messages show up.

So I think this is an issue with either the firmware or the MUI. In any event it seems to work.

Hi I tried to update mine and it brick, i can any materials not even from Heltec also just curious di anyone figure out how to get a map on it reflecting on this impulse buy this devise leaves lots to be desired just in a few core cosmetic function and software especial the backplate cheap plastic letdown.
