Dear Contest Paticipant,
First and foremost, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible creativity and passion you have poured into the 2025 Heltec Maker Contest, which really means a step for our team. your projects have truly embodied our mission to acculate your success in your projects.
We are writing to sincerely apologize for the delay in announcing the contest winners and the late of updates on merging the github and following the December 15th deadline. We understand that many of you have been checking GitHub for merged contributions and waiting for an official announcement.
We take full responsibility for this silence and would like to be transparent about the internal challenges that caused this delay:
-
Office Relocation: Heltec is currently moving to a new office headquarters . While this move is a step toward building a better, more dedicated space for our maker community, the transition disrupted our internal workflows more than anticipated.
-
Submission Formatting Issues: During the review process, we found that a large number of projects did not strictly follow the Maker Contest Content Format Template . To ensure fairness to every participant, our team is manually reviewing and assisting in correcting these formats so that every “inner geek” gets a fair chance at the evaluation criteria.
-
Holiday Season Overlap: The combination of the above factors with the recent year-end holidays further slowed our final verification and prize distribution logistics.
What Happens Next?
We are working around the clock to finalize the outcomes within the next two working days , we will reach out to the winners to collect banking and shipping information.
We know we have let you down regarding the timeline, and for that, we are truly sorry. We value your trust and your contribution to the Heltec ecosystem above all else. We are committed to learning from this experience to ensure our future contests are as seamless and professional as the projects you submit.
Thank you for your patience, your “hacks,” and your vision. We welcome your feedback and supervision as we strive to do better next time.
Stay tuned for the results. And hope you have a wonderful day!
