I tried Meshtastic V242 as well as the no-screen version and the firmware “Update” left me with a the opening banner and 2 screen selections. LongFast with the unit number and a second screen with altitude and Lat/Lon - all in ASCII. Green text on Black background. Is there a way to flash the original firmware to make it behave like a Meshtastic node?
T114 - Firmware update broke my display
True to form, my password I used to make the above post no longer was valid so I had to create a new profile under a different email address. The end result is now my T114 Meshtastic board had declared it is non-binary andnow identifies as a LILYGO T-Echo Plus. And, there is no coming back to being useful for Meshtastic, unless you prefer a monochrome display with all ascii and no graphics and no way to change the configuration. The Meshtastic App sees it, but will not connect to it. Bluetooth will not connect to it for OTA update. A serial connection using the web Meshtastic Client portal allows a serial connection and configuration, biut it does not change the outcome. Still a non-binary device that sees life through monochromic vision. Back to the V4 for future use.
Try to out node in DFU mode before flashing. (Hold user button then plug in usb then release user button) continue to flash with correct firmware.
