I bought the MeshTower 2 and flashed it to Meshcore. After some four days I noticed the battery had diminished from 53% when it was new to 47%, all the time exposed to full sunlight. I tried to charge it from USB-C PD but no success, The battery simply will not charge from any input, which I verified with a voltmeter on the terminals. Does anyone know what’s wrong? This is my first Heltec device and it’s pretty disappointing.

I’ve just started experiencing the same issue last night. It will work when plugged in to USB C but shuts off when unplugged. Has your issue been resolved at all?
No. I put the unit into storage but may use it connected to external USB power since it does work that way. Customer service was not helpful at all so I entered a dispute with my credit card, maybe I will get a refund. Incidentally I have read a few other same complaints on other discussion boards so I suspect this is a production issue.
