Meshpocket Qi2 10000 won't charge phone after one day

I’ve finally received my meshpocket order last saturday, but after one day of use, wireless charge doesn’t work anymore.

Meshtastic is still working with it.
I’ve reseted it from meshtastic, reupload fresh firmware (by downloading it from resources and upload the file following the t114 procedure.
This had no effect on it. Meshtastic is still working well with it, and I’m able to charge the battery, but I’m still not able to use the meshpocket to charge my phone by wireless or cable.

I’ve got no more idea to solve it, if anyone got an idea?

You’ve spotted the CTRL button on the side that controls power output?

If you put it on charge, does it charge?

Does the MT app report a change in battery level?

Does the built-in display show changes in battery level?

Yes,
I’ve seen all the ctrl button type of action, single click, double click, long press, as I’ve seen that it can be deactivated. No change.

The MT app show me the battery changing, and it can charge when i put it in charge, I can also see the battery level changing on the built in display.

The only thing not working is charging another device with it.

By that, do you mean that the powerbank can be charged over USB-C? Or that you can charge your phone from your powerbank using the USB-C connector? Have you tried the latter?

I mean that I’m able to charge the power bank, but the power bank won’t charge my phone (either by usb or wireless)

Seems that power can go in, but not out of the power bank…

No idea? Do I need to open a ticket ?

I assume the charging indicator lights up when you press the CTRL button?
Did you try charging other devices than your phone, and did you try other cables as well? Just trying to eliminate possibilities to narrow down the issue. Which will significantly speed up a ticket of we can’t resolve things over here.

In fact no, when I’m pushing the ctrl button, the charging led isn’t blinking like before.

I’ve tried to charge another usb c device with it and it’s not working neither. Now I’m waiting for the battery to discharge totally, but it has a very good life so I assume it’ll take some time!

Really, I’ve tried many things before contacting here, to be sure I’ve not missed a detail, but it just seems that it won’t let power get out. Everything is working well, but one of the two main function ^^

To be more specific, for the ctrl button, it was working well at the beginning, the led was blinking when I pushed it, and as I align the wireless symbol, the power bank was emitting a sound, then the charge was beginning.

But since the battery has been drained to 50%, nothing.

After that I’ve tried all mentioned before, charging it, trying all button press combination, reseting, repush firmware, with no effect…

Waiting for it to deplete by just Meshtastic will likely take a while indeed. The 5000mAh that’s idling on my desk has gone from 4.3V to 3.9V in ~5 days. An active Bluetooth connection will probably drain it quicker though.

What voltage does Meshtastic report in the menu? (I assume Meshtastic is still fully operational and does update the voltage.)

Yes indeed, I’ve been from 4.3V to 3.95V in 2 days. And Meshtastic is giving me 78% of battery for those 3.95V, so….

So what can I do with that?

Short answer, I don’t think much can be done at this stage, I can pass the message to the MeshPocket team.

Hi @hyrsut

We are very sorry for the bad experience.

Our R&D colleagues just discussed it in detail, and we can’t think of any situation that would cause the Meshtastic function to be normal and can be charged, but the wired and wireless connections would not work. Before releasing this product, we conducted internal testing for a long time and did not encounter the situation you described.

But I still suspect that your power adapter did not charge MeshPocket correctly. Because when the battery power is less than 10%, the wired and wireless charging functions will be turned off, and the power is reserved to ensure the Meshtastic operation.

So, can you try to charge it with a different power adapter? Or charge it via the computer’s USB port. If the light under //\ Powered is flashing, it means that the MeshPocket is correctly charged. At this time, please try again.

I’m not going to post pictures of my MeshPocket since it doesn’t look as pretty anymore, but I did observe that I have to press the CTRL button again after putting my phone on the wireless charger. It doesn’t start automatically again.

So did you try to change it via another adapter?

Hello Support team, thanks for your answer, in fact I was waiting for the battery to be fully drained before retrying.

The led is working again (I’m charging with a 9v adapter to be sur now)
I agree that it may have been an error with an adapter, but I cannot remember which one I used.

I’ll continue testing the next day, but for now, battery is charging and LED working again, I’ve tried a quick wireless charge with my phone and it also worked again.
