LoRa Node 151 LoRaWAN example takes 500uA

Hello,
I have downloaded the latest version of the LoRa_Node_151_LoRaWAN example (V1.2), changed the keys and it works correctly (connects and every 15s uploads a packet to the gateway).
However I can’t get the consumption below about 500 uA (removing the USE_DEBUGGER). I disconnect all wires from the programmer and I power through the battery.
What can I do?

Best regards,

Carlos.

Hi,
You can try to remove the #USE_DEBUGGER, recompile twice and download it again.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I have compiled twice with #USE_DEBUGGER removed and the current is the same (560 uA). I have tried with version 1.0 of the example and the same. Is there anything else I can do? I don’t understand why it consumes so much current.

Carlos.

Can you show me the photos of the connection during your test?

Hello,

I’ve attached one photo (because I’m new user). I used the STLink power supply and connected the multimeter in series with the positive supply, connecting directly to the battery terminals. I have also tried powering on GND and VDD and the result is the same.

Thanks a lot,

Carlos.

How many nodes do you have, and is each node like this?

I cant see any code to review online? do heltec even share the examples?

Hello,

I only have one Heltec “Lora node 151”, but I have mounted a lora node with a STM32F401 “black pill” (LDO and LED disconnected), I have compiled the LoraWAn example of “node 151” for the F401 and it works perfectly. As you can see in the picture the power consumption is 15 uA. I think that my node 151 has some problem, can it be the power supply area or the switching between battery and USB?.
Is there anything I can try?.

Best regards,

Carlos.
