I have used the right board and followed the installation instructions, and trying to upload the factory test code but it has been a half hour and it is still compiling!
Have any one faced a similar situation? can you please provide me assistance, am I missing something?
I even re-installed arduino IDE and still face the same problem
I faced this in some other devices which are also ESP32 based devices. The issue should be related to esp32. Make sure you have white-listed your Arduino folders from your Virus guard. Also, enable cache features from the IDE if you have disabled it.
Try disabling Virus guard, did the trick in most of the times for me.
Can you provide me with resources on how to do that?
I cant say exactly since I do not know your Virus Guard software.
