Issue with getBatteryVoltage showing more than the battery voltage

Hi i have created a custom board using your Heltec Cubecell chip.

I found in the forum that your chip supports 3.7v to the ADC so i have created a simple circuit to get the inbound voltage

My issue is that the inbound voltage is higher than the voltage being supplied:

any ideas what could be going on?
