Installing ChirpStack on a HT_M2802

Hello,

Has anyone succefully accomplished installing ChirpStack on a HT M2802 gateway? I have followed the documentation but have not had any success. I am using localhost for the server since they are both on the same box.

Which documentation where? I can see the TTS install docs but not CS.

A common ‘server on gateway or local lan’ type issue - the definition of localhost is one of perspective - the simplest solution is to fix the IP address and use that to solve any ambiguities.

I am unable to find the installation instructions that came from the heltec website, but I also used the chirpstack installation guide. The installation instructions that I found were very brief and did not provide much info.

  • I had issues with the sql installation because of repos/version installed but resolved them.
  • I had compatibility issues with the mosquitto due to version support for newer chirpstack release and had to backdown chirpstack.
  • I am currently having an issue with controlling the packet forwarder via scripts. I tis failing to control the hw. I believe that it’s because the native packet forwarder install owns GPIO.

I’ll try 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost.

Erm, maybe because they don’t exist. Installing an LNS is not simple, on a constrained device has challenges.

Erm, that’s the very same thing, just in numbers. Try fixing the IP address and then using that.

Or just use TTS for which there are instructions and people that can help.
