How long can the twisted pair cable be on the I2C Bus from BME280 Board to the Heltec Lora32 V3

This is widely debated across the internet and twisted pair has a subtle, erm, twist to it.

Short answer, 20cm is about the best you can do.

If you have twisted pair of a Gnd around each of the signals and a separate twisted pair for V+, you may be able to do a few meters. YMMV, a lot.

You may have to review the values of your pull-up resistors to suit depending on the cable. Again, numerous articles on the interwebs on this.
