HT-HD01 Not working with MeshPoint

I have had two of these devices for the last two months and I can’t get them to connect via Halow in any setting.

Today I updated the firmware to the 20250605 release on both devices.

I have been trying to set them up as MeshPoints so two of my devices can talk to each other in the event the internet goes down.

I have the same Halow Network ID on both and the same password for that network.

I have tried them both in “None” “Bridge” and “Extender”

Still no Halow connection between the two. Any ideas where to go from here?

I did get mesh working after a lot of fooling around. Sometimes for whatever reason it doesn’t work and I have to reset and start all over. It doesn’t seem to mesh correctly; chooses two nodes and ignores the third even though it is positioned as an ideal intermediate mesh point. Don’t understand the decisions it makes for mesh or how to trace the mesh route.
