I was updating the firmware on the HT-HD01 using an image from Morse Micro but it didn’t work. How do I recover my device? The firmware isn’t booting and the various reset procedures in the manual dont do anything. I think I need to put this into recovery mode and restore a working firmware.

Did you get an answer for this? I find that when I set this device up it fails and I have to push the reset pin which is a careful process to get right. You have to wait a few minutes before it recognizes the reset pin. Then you have to hold it until the multi-colored LEDs combine to turn white. It can be hard to see. Even then, I have to fool around quite a bit before I can get it back to a usable state.
