HT-AT62 power source

Hello!
I will like to know if I can connect a 1/2AA battery (3.6V) directly to this module (HT-AT62) or I must use an CE6260B33M CI?

AT62 is affordable and can be used without charging. But it is recommended to use an LDO, which will be safer
