How to use Wifi LoRa (V2) with a Lipo/Li-ion battery

Hi All,

This is probably a very basic question. I have a Heltec LoRa V2 OLED board connected as a LoRaWAN end device and sending sensor data on my LoRa network. Everything is working fine and the board is powered from the USB (connected to the Arduiono console).

I want to now power the node with a battery using the connector at the bottom of the board.
I tried a LiPoly 3.7v 500mAh and a Li-Ion RCR123A 3.7v 750mAh. Both are fully charged. However neither is able to power the board. Is there any specfic configuration needed to get the board working with the battery?

Thanks,
A.

It’s actually working fine. My battery connection was faulty and I also was confused with the fact the power LED automatically powers off when the on battery (actually a nice feature).

Blink means power on.
