I have recently purchased a Heltec Wireless Shell V3 unit and I am using it in my custom PCB design. I have followed the reference design for the PCB (albeit I did not include the programming logic NMOS, but I did include the RST and USER buttons for programming). However, I am unable to load any program onto the Wireless Shell through Arduino and Esptool I have tested separately. I have done testing with the Heltec Wireless Stick V3 module before and typically it comes with some test software preinstalled that prints Serial debug messages when powered on, and that’s how I would verify the unit is functional without loading any programs in. The Heltec Wireless Shell unit I have been testing with does not.
Is there a common way, no matter if it be hardware verification or serial readings, to verify if the Heltec Wireless Shell is functional? This will give me a better angle at debugging my custom PCB, thanks!
