I have been working on learning on how to use my new heltec wifi lora esp32 v4 expansion kit V.1 / touchscreen for about 2 weeks. There is a lot of confusing information out there about this unit and how its configured. the esp32-s3v4 lora chip is pretty straight forward. its the B2B interface that gives everyone a hard time with pin configurations and structure. I used information from Heltec, Google AI and Chat GPT. finally after more then 2 weeks and countless hours of research, learning and coding I finally got everything working, running and reading the way I wanted it to. so for anyone out there struggling with the expansion kit, I am sharing my project on GitHub for everyone to use, learn and to take what you need from it. I managed to get the L76K GPS, BME280, GXHTC and the DA217 accelerometer all reading. it took a wile to get the vex power pins set correctly. there is a lot of miss leading information out there. these units come with esp32-s3 v3 and v4. some come with touchscreens or oled screens. the unit itself has 2 versions. V.1 and V.2. the V.2 comes with a SD card slot and the B2B interface is completely different. I have the V.1 with the touchscreen, L76K, BME280, GXHTC, DA217, buzzer module and the heltec esp32-s3 V4 board. so hopefully this might help others out there struggling getting this unit running. https://github.com/airwave1206/Heltec-wifi-lora-esp32v4-expansion-kit-touchscreen-v.1 I also have simple Arduino sketches for the individual sensors, if any wants them. good luck all and have fun.
