Heltec T1 side button issue

So the Heltec T1 is a good performing device sadly the two side buttons are so stiff to operate the coating is coming away around the buttons so I feel the unit has become none waterproof now, I have requested replacement from Heltec but they have not responded to any of my messages emails yet, I’ve seen a post elsewhere saying production has stopped they are aware of the issue…hopefully replacements will be sent out when they get the buttons and coating sorted out…anyone else having this issue.

Have you received an email back yet? It took 3 days for support to get back to me via email. I was contacted via a post on Reddit a lot quicker. Did you get your GPS to aquire any satellites on your T1. Mine will not.

Mine has this issue too, after a few days of use. Buttons are very hard to press, and the rubberized coating has failed.

Yes i do get gps lock eventually but I am using meshcore, and gps needs to be switched on

Also email received Mk2 version will be about 2months and replacement will be sent out, hopefully sooner than later as I purchased 2

Same issue here! I came close to tossing it in the trash as returning would more of a hassle. I just know now not to buy from Heltec any new devices until they have been vetted out. They definiely did not do there research on this!

Yes mine are very hard to push as well

The side buttons are next to useless given how stiff they are. :frowning:

Yes I purchased 3 and am experiencing the same issue. Hope they’ll fix it. I’m also experiencing battery issues where the battery level is not reading properly.
