I have 3 Halow Mesh Devices (HT-HD01, USA 900MHz). I am trying to verify the mesh network is working using the Range Test.
I lose connection with a mesh point when I place it in a faraday shield. When I remove the mesh point from the shield, why does it not re-establish connection (self-heal) to the mesh network? It forces me to restart the device to restore operation.
Also, how do I see what the mesh data transfer path is? I have tried ping, traceroute, and ifconfig. They are not showing any mesh hops or mesh is not working. Not sure which.
Note: I have had a lot of trouble setting this equipment up. I usually have to recover units and wait for startup sequence several times before it works.
