CubeCell GPS-6502 Battery Charging

Hello,
Do I need to get a charging module for LiPo batteries when using the Cubecell GPS-6502? I thought it supported charging the battery, but after being plugged in for a few hours and unplugging, I cannot get it to operate on battery. Anyone know if its possible the polarity is switched or something?

answered my own question. The batteries I bought had reversed polarity. Swapped the wires and BINGO everything works.
