CubeCell Configurator

Hi Björn, I Used the new configurator today , and worked well for a CubeCell with an MPU9250, but with an BH1750 sesnor I did not find the sensor with the firmware and stated the it could not find the GPS sensor. Strange responce . The BH1750 sensor works well with the example sketch. Sounds like the sensor not enabled or issues in the code for firmware. Firmware 3.0.2 configurator 7.4

I have to say you have done a great job on this an generally works well.

Best regards, and keep safe Simon

Hi Testng to day of the configuator 7.2 alos seems to have a problem with the RGB f/w selection as it is always on when the tick box is , or is not selected.

regards Simon

Will have a look why it does not find bh1750 sensor.
The message with the gps is right. The new firmware (>3.0.1) opens up a softwareserial port and tries to find a gps if there is no response that message will be logged

for what frequency band?
Perhabs i have an error in my new build script.
That script will build the firmware for each type, frequency band and rgb settings.

Hard to test all combinations

Please test the led issue with the latest version of the configurator

HI I was using the latest configurator v7.3 , The led Issues of not being able to select is with this version for both board and Capsule types. The frequency band is 868MHZ., using both ABP and OTTA . The the MPU9250 sensor works( excluding RGB issue) but the BH1750 sensor does not get detected. I agree had to test conbinations. It seems that the selection of the firmware is in error for the RGB selection and I also note that the Alias field in the data base can not be populated. I hope this helps .

Simon

Hope i can make some tests this evening.
I have restructered the source code i think the rgb variable gers not set correctly. Will fix it with a new release this evening

Home allone with two young kids i have to time right now. Will try my best this evening after both are in bed

Has five minutes time and found the failure for the LED.
Will now have a look for the bh1750.

New version 3.0 5 will be online this evening

uploaded firmware version 3.0.5:

  • fixed RGB LED
  • improved stability
  • better power management

tried a BH1750 on our ModularNodes without problems.
added GPIO0 for using the Heltec BH1750 in an CubeCell Capsule.

new Configurator 7.4:

fixed read only database

was the BH1750 not in the list in the Sensors tap or does it not show up in the logs right before sending?

the sensor tap had a problem because the log output sometimes was “found sensor” and sometime “Found sensor”. fixed that in the new configurator

Hi I am getting this with the latest 7.6 and 3.05 firmware. Not had a boot load failure before.
I bet you would like a rest later after having 2 Children to keep you busy.

i know it is a dump question but have you tried unplugging the cubecell and replug it?

sometimes i have this too. replugging or just pressing the reset key helped here.

Hi yes I have tried that and plugging in With the user button held down to trick it into boot mode .I did not work when tried it will have another look tomorrow. Thanks Simon

hello @wasn

does the configurator support GY-MCU680V1 BME680 Sensor Module ? I have tested cjcmu bme680 it works fine, but not GY-MCU680V1 BME680.

Kindly confirm.

That is the board with the serial interface right?
How have you connected it?
I may be wrong but there are no pullup resistors on the iic signal lines.

yes, this is the one

I have connected using the i2c, connected to TCA9548A

Try with 4.7k resistors as pullups on both scl and sca lines

hello, do you have any software to configure heltec lora gateway HT-M01

I dont have a Ht-m01 only one ht-m02 and many (about 70) mikrotik gateways.
There are many instructions and tutorials for linux and raspberry based gateways in the internet. Google is your friend
