CubeCell backup battery

Could I use a coin-cell battery connected to 1N5819 then to 3.3 pin as a battery backup and at the same time still have the Lipo connected?

Hi,
It’s feasible in theory, but we haven’t tried it.The button battery’s power is small, plus the voltage drop of the diode, so it may not have much effect.

What about ML2032 it is a 3.7 volt coin cell? The only issue would be the low 70Mah so it would not receive data very long say 15 min but it should be better correct?

3.7V voltage higher than 3.3V after passing through the 1N5819, so it should keep supplying current to the circuit until the voltage drops below 3.3V.
