Can Vext power a Particle sensor?

I am looking to use this particle senor with a solar and lipo battery remote location Cubecell.

The data sheet says the fan needs 5v. But was hoping it will run at 3.3v . if not was going to add a buck converter.
To save battery , I was planning to use the Vext pin to power the whole module.
What is the maximum current Vext can handle?

The product description document:

suggests that the Vext pin can supply up to 350mA.

I can now confirm that vext pin can power an Arduino practical sensor.power requirements is demanding on a 850ma battery. As the sensor has to operate for at least 30 seconds before a valid reading.
